Six days of free residential training plus an advanced toolkit worth around ₹10,000 for traditional workers and craftspeople

This is the Uttar Pradesh government's own scheme for traditional workers and craftspeople. You attend a six-day training programme where the stay is arranged and paid for, and at the end you are given an advanced toolkit worth around ₹10,000 to work with. The point is that better tools and a short refresher can raise what you earn from the same trade.

Who can apply

  • Resident of Uttar Pradesh working in a traditional craft or trade
  • Aged 18 or above
  • Willing to attend the full six-day residential training

What to take with you

  • Aadhaar card
  • Residence proof of Uttar Pradesh
  • Bank passbook
  • Proof or declaration of the trade you work in

How to apply

Apply online through the Uttar Pradesh MSME single-window portal at diupmsme.upsdc.gov.in, or ask at the District Industries Centre in Baghpat when the next batch is being formed.

Rejected or still waiting? Check these first

Most applications fail for a correctable reason, not because the applicant was ineligible. Before assuming you do not qualify, check each of these:

  • Trade declared does not fall under the traditional crafts covered by the scheme
  • Did not complete the full six-day training, so the toolkit was not handed over

Still stuck after checking all of these? Tell us what happened and we will help you work out which office to approach.
