Free job registration with access to government job fairs and placement support, plus the state's unemployment allowance route
Sewayojan is the Uttar Pradesh government's own employment portal. You register your education and the kind of work you want, and you are then called for job fairs and shown private and government vacancies that match. The same registration is also the starting point for the state's unemployment allowance, the berojgari bhatta.
Who can apply
- Resident of Uttar Pradesh looking for work
- Registered with your education details on the Sewayojan portal
- Meets the age, education and income condition of the unemployment allowance if you are claiming that as well
What to take with you
- Aadhaar card
- Education marksheets and certificates
- Residence proof of Uttar Pradesh
- Bank passbook
- Income certificate, if claiming the unemployment allowance
How to apply
Register free at sewayojan.up.nic.in, keep the registration renewed, and attend the job fairs (Rozgar Melas) that the district employment office announces for Baghpat.
Rejected or still waiting? Check these first
Most applications fail for a correctable reason, not because the applicant was ineligible. Before assuming you do not qualify, check each of these:
- Registration was allowed to lapse instead of being renewed
- Education certificates uploaded do not match the details entered
- Already in employment, which disqualifies the unemployment allowance part
