BC Sakhi Yojana (UP)
A stipend of around ₹4,000 a month for six months plus a device subsidy of up to ₹50,000, to work as a village Banking Correspondent Sakhi
A BC Sakhi is a woman in the village who does basic banking work for her neighbours, so people do not have to travel to a bank branch for small transactions. The Uttar Pradesh rural livelihood mission trains you, pays around ₹4,000 a month for the first six months, and gives up to ₹50,000 towards the device you need. After the first six months you earn from the commission on the transactions you handle.
Who can apply
- Woman resident of the village where she will work
- Connected to the state rural livelihood mission, usually through a self-help group
- Able to read, write and operate a digital device
- Selected by the block and district selection process
What to take with you
- Aadhaar card
- Education certificates
- Residence proof of the village
- Bank passbook
- Self-help group membership proof, where applicable
How to apply
Apply through the Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission at bcsakhi.up.gov.in, or through your self-help group and the Block Mission Manager, who handles the village-wise selection.

- Another BC Sakhi has already been selected for that village, since the post is village-wise
- Could not clear the basic reading, writing or device handling test at selection
