UP Mukhyamantri Solar Pump Yojana (PM-KUSUM UP component)
Around 60 percent subsidy for general-category farmers, and up to 90 percent for eligible categories, on a solar irrigation pump
The government pays most of the cost of a solar-powered pump for your tube well. General-category farmers get around 60 percent off and farmers in eligible categories can get up to 90 percent off. Once it is installed you stop paying for diesel and you are not left waiting for grid power.
Who can apply
- Farmers of Uttar Pradesh with an existing or new tube well
- Land papers in your name
- Higher subsidy for eligible categories of farmers
What to take with you
- Aadhaar card
- Land papers (khatauni)
- Bank passbook
- Tube well or boring details
How to apply
Register on the UP Agriculture Department portal at upagriculture.com and book your application under the solar pump section, or ask at the block agriculture office.
Rejected or still waiting? Check these first
Most applications fail for a correctable reason, not because the applicant was ineligible. Before assuming you do not qualify, check each of these:
- No working boring or tube well at the site
- Land record is outdated or not in the applicant's name
- Farmer's share of the cost not deposited in time
Still stuck after checking all of these? Tell us what happened and we will help you work out which office to approach.
