UP Kamadhenu Pashu Bima Yojana (Cattle Insurance)
Insurance cover of roughly ₹40,000 per cow, ₹50,000 per buffalo, and up to ₹80,000 for certain other livestock
Insurance for your animals. If an insured cow or buffalo dies, the insurance pays the household so the loss of milk income does not break the family's budget. The cover is roughly ₹40,000 for a cow, ₹50,000 for a buffalo and up to ₹80,000 for some other kinds of livestock.

Rejected or still waiting? Check these first
Most applications fail for a correctable reason, not because the applicant was ineligible. Before assuming you do not qualify, check each of these:
- Animal was not ear-tagged, so the dead animal cannot be identified as the insured one
- Death not reported to the veterinary officer in time
- Post-mortem report missing
Still stuck after checking all of these? Tell us what happened and we will help you work out which office to approach.
